Space Saving Beds For Kids Rooms

Kids Bedroom Ideas-Space Saving Beds For Kids Rooms. My daughter has 5 children and she was looking for some furniture to save some space in one of the kids rooms. I helped her in the search, we looked for something that could grow with the little ones and was also sturdy enough for growing boys. I searched online for some ideas and discovered a bed with a workstation on the lower level. This would be perfect for the kids and also give them some floor space for playing in their room.

I ordered 2 beds and sure enough they were easy to assemble and the kids loved them. The said they felt like they had their own private offices. It was true each child had enough space for all of the study materials they needed. The space was large enough under the bed for a small chair.

Since their parents are always strapped for money this purchase was one that was necessary but also saved them money in the long run. The kids each had their own beds and workstations and could easily keep organized. This meant no more fights about who would get to use the desk for homework each night. I help the youngest one get organized and the older one was assisted by mom. Once we finished gathering everything necessary for studies the rest fell into place quickly.

For more than one child bunk beds are an excellent option. I found my different styles and finishes that suit both boys and girls. I choose an under the bed storage unit which we used on the closet floor and it easily slides in and out with little effort. Kids bedroom ideas use designs where a child can grow and use their space based on age related activities.

The Perfect Space Saving Beds - Solutions for any room

I had many options and the choice way easy. These beds are easily assembled and very cost effective. I really like the loft style since it makes good use out of the available floor space.

Space Saving Tips

Other Things You Can Do To Save Space - Small spaces require careful planning

Furniture - Make sure that the entire play area has enough storage to accomodate your childs books and toys. By choosing muted colors for your child is preferable. You can add accents to the décor with fabric and cushion and continue to use the furniture as you child gets older.

Walls - Since wall color is easy to change your child can have bright one if they prefer. Painting a wall is easy and is an inexpensive way to create drama to the room.

Ceiling - A ceiling can be decorated with stick on stars or removable sticker to bright up the space. Make sure while you are choosing stick-ups that they won't damage wall and cost you money for repairs when you want to remove them.

Doors - A sign or decorative letting on a door can really personalize your child space. Removable hooks with removable adhesive is the best way to prevent damage to surfaces. If you must use a nail for a heavier object choose one that will do the job and keep repairs to a minimum.

Shelves - If you are not using a bookcase in your child's room a shelving system may be the answer if will save space on the floor for other furniture and should be hung low enough for the child to reach. Teach you children where their belonging need to be stored.

Accessories -White boards and bulletin boards are great space-savers. Notes and art work can be hung on cork boards keeping it off of the floor. White board help to keep a child organized with note reminding them of important events, and homework assignments.

Bigs Bedroom Ideas-Hanging Book Shelves - Keep stored items off of the floor.

Shelves are one of the best ways to store small items. They can be used to keep books, supplies, and collectibles organized. Hanging bookshelves make an excellent storage center behind any bed.

Space Saving Children's Furniture - Everything in it's place

Keeping everything in it's place is a learned skill. Children need to learn how to keep their things organized. By providing space for storage this task is easy. Don't forget to make a place for snacks and drinks.

Putting It All Together

After the beds were put together we realized the space saving beds for kids rooms were wonderful. We had a lot of book leftover. We then decided to put up some wall shelves to make space off the floor for these books. The shelves were very inexpensive so we purchased 1 for the desk area and 2 for up by the elevated beds.

The lower book shelf was used for learning materials and school supplies. We used plastic baskets and container to hold little things such as pencil, pens, crayons and the like. For the upper shelves we place a small reading lamp near the head of the bed and storybooks for bedtime reading. The boys were so excited to have their own spaces I often find them nesting and reading in their rooms when I come to visit.

Solving the space problem in the boys room was less of a challenge then I anticipated. The shipping on the beds was fast and the price of the beds were good. The quality was outstanding and was built to last with kids in mind. There were several choices of color, we chose black. We used the quilts I made for them last year for their birthdays. The room is always neat and clean and the kids don't mind keeping it that way. They now have easy storage and know where everything belongs.
