A DIY Sprinkler Systems and Drip Systems
Several years ago we put in a full yard diy sprinkler system. At first it looked like it was going to be a difficult job, but it wasn't. These garden accessories turned out to be fairly easy to install. There are many brands to choose from with some that sit on top of the lawn and other need to be buried underground. There are also drip irrigation systems that slowly drip water on the garden or in your shrubs. These system use small amounts of water to keep plant watered continuously.
There are many guides and books to help you along. Deciding how many sprinkler heads is the first thing that needs to be calculated. Measurements must first be taken of the area where the sprinkler system will go. The system itself is fairly inexpensive. By doing it yourself you will save the cost of installation. Once the system is install it is set and run automatically.
The sprinkler heads you decide to use can be stationary or retractable. The retractable style make mowing easy, since the mower will run over the top of the sprinkler heads. Stationary sprinklers are generally used in gardens where mowing is not necessary. Which ever style is used you will no longer have to remember to water the lawn again.
